Who was Jesus Christ?

Who was Jesus Christ?
Who was Jesus Christ?

Who was Jesus Christ?

A good man?

A teacher?

Not a real person?

A religious leader?

A Jew?

A prophet of God?

The second part of the Trinity?

The Son of God?

A combination of most of these?

Jesus Christ cannot be a good man

A definition of a “Good man” is an affirmation meaning noble, a man doing a good job, or a way of thinking that is good. It is a man that, does good deeds to strangers. A perpetual liar would not qualify as a good man. If someone claimed to be the Son of God for years and was not; he would qualify to be good; he would be either deranged or a liar.

John 16:13 (NKJV) However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth;

John 14:6 (NKJV) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 1:14 (NKJV) And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 4:1-3 (NKJV) Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2  By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3  and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

John 8:44 NKJV) You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do.
He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie,
he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

John 3:16 (NKJV) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Jesus Christ was not a prophet

Neither can Jesus Christ be a prophet of God for the same reasons. A deranged man or a perpetual liar falsely calling Himself the Son of God cannot be a true prophet of  God, if what He claimed were not true.

Not a real person?

It is not reasonable to assert that Jesus Christ was not real. Thousands witnessed His birth, life, miracles, death and resurrection. 1 Corinthians 15:3-8

Historians describe Him in this way:
Jesus ( c. 4 BC – c. AD 30 / 33), also referred to as Jesus of Nazareth and Jesus Christ, was a first-century Jewish preacher and religious leader.
He is the central figure of Christianity. Most Christians believe he is the incarnation of God the Son and the awaited Messiah (the Christ) prophesied in the Old Testament.

A religious leader? A Jew?

The Holy Bible says in the following scripture that you cannot know who Jesus Christ is unless it is revealed to you by God.
This can happen in various ways but it also explains how two people can read the Holy Bible
and walk away unchanged while another will seek to be a Christian, that is to start the journey to become like Christ.

Who was Jesus Christ?

Matthew 16:13-19 (NKJV)

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”

14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you,
but My Father who is in heaven.

18 And I also say to you that you are Peter,
and on this rock I will build My church,
and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

The Bible clearly explains who Jesus Christ is

In the last verse above, Matthew 16:19, we are confronted with another choice beyond simply believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Those who accept Him as their Lord can live a nominal life that confines their faith to a periodic recognition of Him from time to time in a week, month or year; another can accept the invitation to not just to be a child of God but to become a joint heir
(John 14:12; Mark 16:17; Acts 3:1-11; Matthew 14:22-33; Acts 20:7-12; Acts 2:36-42; Genesis 41:37-44)
and rule and reign well with Christ here on earth; exercising spiritual authority, which will manifest itself in various ways, if done in His name and for His glory:

divine foresight
divine wisdom
gifts of heal of the sick
divine well being
divine wealth
divine influence for good
divine peace
divine ability to suspend natural laws
divine ability to change the course of events

….As the disciples of Jesus have done through the centuries even until today.

When Jesus first arrived from the Spirit realm He came as a baby.
He was sent to the Jews firstly. He dwelt amongst us as a carpenter.
People saw him as a good man,  a teacher, then a prophet. But He said that He was the Son of God. He was there in the beginning whilst the world (Genesis 1:26) was being formed  and so He is the second part of the Holy Trinity.

Both God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are all Spirit. The Spirit realm is more real than this physical one.

For a better depiction of who Jesus is, rather than focusing on the book of Matthew where He appears as a vulnerable baby go to the book of Revelation where we see Him as King of the Spiritual realm.

Jesus Christ continues to live in the spirit realm today.
