Solution to gang violence: Our open letter to those in a street gang. There is another alternative to the membership of a street gang leading to death or the prison.
Access instead another family who provides, shelter, food, love, security, hope and joy and who meets regularly and near you.
Jesus said turn the other cheek (Matthew 5:38-40)
In facing great opposition, God said, “…the battle is not yours.”
“…Vengeance is mine.” (Deuteronomy 32:35) (Romans 12:17-19)
Summary: The Battle is not yours. Sooner or later the evil will get what is coming to them.

Here is just one example of the vengeance of God
God closes the red sea on the chasing army of Pharaoh who wanted to enslave the people of God. (Exodus 14:5-29).
Our role is the difficult task of pursuing peace in a divided society. If you are in a gang ask your leader if they would meet with local church leaders to negotiate periods of peace with revival gangs. (Hebrews 12:14)
Putting down your weapon is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of wisdom.
